What do you guys think is freedom of speech?
Rafi: For rafi, its the idea of people can say their opinion without being shut down by other people. So they can talk, but that doesn’t mean that its the freedom of consequences.
Rayshad: Right for every human in this planet, expressing opinion and other related matter that u can express freely without being interrupted, but it should be ruled. There will be consequences.
Nadya: Right to say everything, but its also the obligation to accept the consequences.
Syakira: Similar with everyone.

Have you ever been censored?
Nadya: There should be a reason why it is censored, there should be stricter regulation on what can be center. Censorship is important to for people to be braver.
Rayshad: When he’s trying to find a website for studying where it is radicals, but those information is actually important. Deep search is okay for studying case, but the restriction disbenefit the research itself.
Syakira:
Rafi: I do feel the fact of censorship is for websites, example reddit. We dont know the reason why is it censored, we only know that its regulated. It’s because the website is not monitored. But reddit is not only to spread bad stuff, its jjust the same as other social media, they only blocked the “small” website.

Does freedom of speech includes lie?
Rafi: In our time should have a standard what people can say and not say. Instead of being limited, we should know the dangerous and how to combat this freedom of speech that tries to spread lies, but they need to know what the truth is.
Nadya: I think you can spread lies about people, because you have the right to argue. Because you have the right to also deny or acknowledge the truth.
Rafi: But they “liar” got more time to persuade one party.
Nadya: It depends on the person itself, because it depends on the opinion/consideration of every person.
Syakira: But, if someone from the upper “side” is spreading lies, ofcourse every one is going to believe to their lies and its going to affect the life of the so-called-lower side people.

Should people be free to spread hatred?
Rafi: No. Morality, no. If we spread hatred, it will limit the person’s freedom of speech. There will be no ending.
Nadya: You have to confirm the hatred before spreading it. Because you can make any speech seem hateful on how you capture/understand the speech it. If you want to silent someone’s speech, all you have to say is “its hateful” and done.Because both side is going to throw it back to the other, so its possible. You can just say anything just based on your opinion. Because everybody’s definition of hate is different.
Rafi: You can make the “hatred” seem softer or acceptable. Dont make it racist or too hateful.
Syakira: You can spread hate, but as we said before, the consequences you are going to get it. Because every country has law and if you offend those laws by your speech, you need to deal with the consequences. Or not, you are going to need to deal with the social consequences.
Rafi: Law is to restrict to avoid any negative outcomes, so not for oppressing.

So do you guys agree that freedom of speech is acceptable?
Nadya: Yes freedom of speech is allowed, but it should be understood that the right to speak freely comes with the obligation to accept its consequences.
Rasyad: Is allowed however there are certain law that must be followed, also you have to know what you are going to say, not just saying anything.
