Topic: Are the web filters at your school too restrictive?

As a student, searching for information online is very helpful. You can get as many information from different websites. In school, you can access some websites but it is very limited. Censorship is one of the biggest problem to most students. You can’t get as many information as you like because the school block some website that they think is not appropriate for students to read. If we can’t get information as free as we can, we are stuck with the one idea that is taught to us. Censorship also happened because of the parent’s influence. They want their kid to gain a positive knowledge and protecting their kid from the world. But by doing this, it makes the kid’s knowledge stuck in a cage. If the kid encounter things out in the world, how are they supposed to manage it by themselves if they try to find something it is restricted. That is why in school, some information should be exposed to the kids to make them learn and be better. It can be the thing that make them find their talents or strengths. The school can block some information if it is necessary to the scenario.

Evidence:
- “Censorship in schools usually exists in the form of the removal or manipulation of materials or learning processes.” As said in everydayhealth.com
- “We sometimes think too much about the content that we block, and we forget [that] when we cut kids off [from social media] we limit their opportunities to succeed, explore their passions, and discover their strengths and talents.” As said in theatlantic.com
- “Many people don’t want their children using that kind of language even if they do it themselves, and many parents believe that seeing profanity in books or hearing others swear encourages youngsters to do the same, especially if the act goes unpunished. Yet profanity appears in many worthwhile books, films and other materials for the same reasons many people use it in their everyday language–for emphasis or to convey emotion.” As said in ncac.org (national coalition against censorship)

Okay. For the same of the marker, make the thesis statement your first or second sentence so it is easy to find and there won't be any confusion.

Which is the best method of development for your thesis and evidence?
