Audricka Pashaya Herdian - Rhetoric Choices 2 Workshop
The video by Fearless Souls gives out an inspirational speech about the mental illness of depression, and inspiring them to "hang in there", and inspiring people to help others with the struggles. The speech use the three rhetorical elements (Logos, pathos, and ethos) to appeal to their audience. The main element that I found is the speaker using sentences that connects and shows empathy to people that have depression. Words such as pain, suffering, and others it used to evoke the emotions of the audiences, and thats Pathos. His thesis is to inspire people with depression to hang on to their lives and give hope to them. The speaker then uses logos by opening out logic, such as how he theorised how people get depressed. Lastly, he used ethos when he mentioned "I've seen some people", as well as how the YouTube channel is all about motivating.
