Mission & invitation:
Dear Invitees,
A special harmony-themed poetry colloquium will be held to share ideas about endanger species of poetry: ode, ballad, sonnet, and epic poems. This is an opportunity to produce new living forms of these types of poetry, contribute your ideas about poetry, critique others, and receive constructive feed-back.
As invitees to the colloquium, you will (i) submit a poem inspired by or derived from a historical model, example title: Ballad of Indonesian youth, (ii) write up a draft commentary and analysis, (iii) present your work, (iv) share constructive feedback with other attendees, and (v) submit a final report.

Details:
1. Choose a poem of some significance which is either an ode, ballad, sonnet, or epic. Write a poem which is a response or derivation. Upload.
2. Write a draft commentary and analysis connecting both poems that includes but need not be limited to the skills of contextualization, personalization, and thematic interpretation we have been practicing in Term 1. ~250 words. Upload to the same thread.
3. Present on the poem you chose, the poem you wrote, and your commentary and analysis of these two poems. PPT recommended, upload to the same thread.
4. Collect the reviews and feedback of at least three other students taking grade 12 English. (At least 50 words each.) Upload to the same thread.
5. Submit your final report in pdf format. Upload to the same thread. Be sure the document is well organized and attractively formatted.
