Etymology and cognate poems

Gods
The word’s origin is uncertain, perhaps from PIE *ghut-.

Long
The word long comes from PIE *dlonghos- which then expands to Germanic, Old Persian, Latin which also means having a great linear extent.

Zeus
supreme god of the ancient Greeks and master of the others, 1706, from Greek, from PIE *dewos-"god".

Poem

Mythology and history
Dating way back to the old days
Gathering of gods and warriors
Swords and shields
Gods living their longest life
With them being on top
The supreme ones
Fire, Ice, Lightning
ZEUS the god of thunder
Striking the world with long thunders
Loud noises and big explosions
God of thunder
Zeus

This poem is about the life of the gods, especially Zeus. Going way back to the time of gods and warriors, where there are still a lot of wars and battles which the gods fought with their bravery and power. Everyone slaughtered left and right, with swords and might. The gods of those times which still battle for power and worth, fight for glory and name. Zeus who controls lightning, fought with the other gods, competing for a higher name and also improve their power on the world and make them more influential to the people in the mortal world.

Don't forget periods and capitals on sentences. You'll want to fill in the meaning of your poem a bit, you've used about 20 of 100 available words.
