That was astute and a good instance of contextualization to realize that Donne's whole family died and he wrote this poem on death, not likely a coincidence. There are a few minor grammar errors. I'm not sure that I would use the word "rant" to describe Donne's poem, that might be a bit strong, though perhaps it could be said if there were some further reasoning given as to why. Seems you're right on about the issue of eternal life, that looks like it was a big theme in the poem, might be interesting to have mentioned what you say about this being one in a series of religious poems up in your notes in the essay.
