Writing rubrics

There are three kinds of essay writing in AP English:

  • Synthesis
  • Rhetorical analysis
  • Argument

These are all marked on a similar rubric out of 6 points:

1 point for Thesis
4 points for Evidence and Commentary
1 point for Sophistication
