Psychoanalysis is a technique and theory by an Austrian neurologist named Sigmund Freud. It is theorized in the psychological based on human behavioral by the belief of memories, unconscious thoughts, feelings, desires, and memories. The aim of psychoanalysis therapy is to release repressed emotions and experiences. Psychoanalysis can emphasis on psychological unconscious conflicts, or childhood trauma also the development issues. It is also divided into three components: the id, superego, and ego.
The id is define as the one who has many desires, and hatred that can make actions n negative way. It could lead to murderous behaviour, can relate to crimes such as, white collar crime or blue collar crime.
The superego is much into perfections, under rules, and morals, and operates for consciousness better by guardian, comparing to ego, it is more wisely neutral on both side. We can say by being in the middle. It tests the rationality, and mediating between id and superego. It mostly operates the most conscious behaviour. By this we can relate to ideology like Marxism and Feminism by using the terminology of psychoanalysis.
Marxism is a socioeconomic views in classes, they are seen materialistic. Marxism is also similar to feminism. Where in between there are inequality. Comparing to feminism, it’s mostly about the rights for equality especially in women. Therefore, inequality is the similarity of schools.
Psychoanalysis is a huge field that can relate to Maxism and Feminism. The one of example of psychoanalysis literature in feminism is The Mulan. Mulan is the symbol of feminism, the movie shown that Mulan wants to join the war because of some issues with her father. Back then women isn’t allowed to join the war, but Mulan is stubborn. In this story, the psychoanalysis that shows her behaviour is the superego. Where she really have the desire to join the war for the good opportunity.
